She Hoops have dropped a schedule of activity for the community as part of the WNBL Preseason Tournament in Townsville from 24 – 27 September 2025.
Over the course of four days, She Hoops will host three Community Clinics in Ayr, Charters Towers and Ingham – followed by a Super Camp and Indigenous Leadership Program (ILP) in Townsville.
Opals champions Lauren Jackson AO OLY & Tess Madgen will be leading activity on the ground as part of their She Hoops leadership roles and will be joined by Ally Wilson for the first time as Lead of the ILP.
"She Hoops is committed to creating pathways that empower women and girls, and working closely with the WNBL is an essential part of that vision,” said Tess Madgen, She Hoops Lead.
“The WNBL represents the pinnacle of women’s basketball in Australia, and aligning with the league ensures that our participants can see what is possible at the highest level,”
“Being part of the WNBL Preseason Tournament is not only exciting for us, but also a powerful opportunity to connect grassroots to the elite, celebrate our role models, and inspire the next generation of leaders both on and off the court."
There will be a wealth of coaching knowledge shared with Coaches Workshops hosted in between game days.
Featured guests include former Canada and Townsville coach Claudia Brassard, 2 Degrees Tall Ferns coach Nat Hurst and Seven Consulting Opals coaches Paul Gorriss and Shannon Seebohm.
All events are free with registration available via She Hoops event portal.
