STOP 3: SUMGAIT, AZERBAIJAN
The Gangurrus have added another international medal to their growing 2026 collection, winning gold at the FIBA 3x3 Women's Series stop in Sumgait, Azerbaijan.
Fresh from their silver-medal performance at the FIBA 3x3 World Cup, they continued their strong form, completing an undefeated tournament to claim the title.
Marena Whittle, Hannah Hank, Lauren Nicholson and Emma Clarke proved too strong across all games, with Australia defeating Ukraine in the final to secure the program's first Women's Series victory of the season.
Whittle was named tournament MVP after another dominant all-round display.
The result follows Australia's Asia Cup gold medal earlier this year and further strengthens the Gangurrus' credentials as they continue their Women's Series campaign throughout 2026.
All games will be streamed live on FIBA 3x3 YouTube.
