Finding your place in the game is about to get easier, with Basketball Australia launching the first stage of its new Program Finder.
Designed as a central hub for basketball opportunities across the country, the Program Finder helps players, coaches, officials, volunteers and families discover programs that match their interests, location and stage of development.
The initial release includes a range of participation opportunities, including Ford Aussie Hoops, Australia's introductory program for young players, as well as Walking Basketball and Ability Hoops programs that make the game more accessible for Australians of all ages and abilities.
Importantly, this is just the beginning.
The Program Finder has been developed as a foundation that will continue to evolve, with more programs, providers, and opportunities to be added over time.
As the platform grows, it will become an increasingly comprehensive destination for anyone looking to get involved in basketball, whether they're taking their first shot, returning to the game or looking for their next challenge.
Basketball Australia's Participation Programs Manager, Sarah Skidmore, said the Program Finder represents an important step towards creating a more connected and accessible basketball ecosystem nationwide.
