Designed for girls aged 15 to 18, the She Hoops Leadership & Confidence Scholarship offers a unique blend of basketball, mentorship, leadership and life skills development. Through this holistic approach, participants are supported to build confidence, develop their leadership skills and explore opportunities within basketball beyond playing.
The She Hoops Leadership & Confidence Scholarship serves as a gateway to a range of pathways within the Australian basketball community.
Participants will be upskilled throughout the program and supported to further their basketball journey through coaching and officiating development, mentoring, leadership sessions and exposure to a diverse range of opportunities across the sport.

Eligibility Criteria:
- Born 2008–2011 (ages 15–18)
- Demonstrate an interest in basketball beyond playing, including coaching, officiating, administration and other areas of the sport
What’s included in the fully funded scholarship:
- Mentoring with professional basketball players and women across the Australian basketball community
- Leadership, confidence and wellbeing sessions
- Coaching and officiating development
- Career and leadership development opportunities
- Sessions designed to explore pathways within basketball beyond playing

The Leadership & Confidence Scholarship goes beyond basketball, providing young women with opportunities to develop the mindset, skills, confidence and connections to continue growing within the sport and their wider communities.
Through mentoring, leadership development and exposure to different areas of basketball, participants will be encouraged to explore where their interests could take them and build the confidence to pursue future opportunities.
Applications have been extended for the 2026–27 program, which will commence in October 2026.
If you have already submitted an application, you do not need to apply again. All applications received will remain under consideration and will be reviewed following the extended application period.
